Ordained Ministry: Approved for Candidacy
You are a "candidate" if (and only if) you have been approved by the District Superintendent to begin candidacy.
If you have not yet spoken to the D.S. about candidacy, please read this document: How to Begin the Candidacy Process.
Congratulations on being approved by the District Superintendent to begin candidacy!
Now follow these steps:
Contact the SE District Candidacy Registrar
The SE Candidacy Registrar is . Kat will set you up in Pathways to Ministry, our E-Application program, as well as the Online Candidacy System (run through the General Board of Higher Education and Ministry), called GBHEM. You will receive an email from both Pathways and the GBHEM online system asking you to log in, create your own password, and fill out your personal information.

Register for the next Candidacy Group Mentor Retreat
You will receive a packet from the Center for Clergy Excellence at the Florida Annual Conference. Part of the packet will be instructions on how to register for the next retreat. Retreats happen in January and in July. The retreat marks the beginning of your mentoring process.
NOTE: This does not apply to Candidates for Transfer of Ordination. Transfer candidates are not assigned mentors and do not take part in the mentoring process.
